शुल्क वापसी की नीति

Returns & Exchanges

The short version

  • You have 7 days from the day your order is delivered to request a return or exchange.

  • Refunds are issued as store credit.

  • A ₹129 handling fee applies and we waive it completely if the product arrived damaged or defective.

What you can return or exchange

  • It doesn't fit

  • It arrived damaged

  • It's defective

  • Something is missing from your order

  • We sent you the wrong item

Handling fee

₹129 per return or exchange.

We waive it entirely if the product arrived damaged, if it's defective, or if we sent the wrong item. If something went wrong on our side, you don't pay for it.

How refunds work

All refunds are issued as store credit, a gift card sent to your registered email address, usable on younggrandpa.co.

One exception: if you paid using Snapmint, your refund goes back to your original payment method, since store credit can't settle an EMI.

Condition of the item

To be accepted, the item needs to be:

  • Unworn and unwashed

  • With original tags and packaging intact

  • Free of stains, odour, perfume, damage or alterations

  • The complete set, if it was bought as a set

Every returned item goes through a quality check at our warehouse before your exchange or store credit is processed.

How it works

  1. Raise your request within 7 days of delivery — through our Exchanges Portal, or just email or call us.

  2. We'll confirm by email once it's approved.

  3. Our courier partner picks up the item within 24–48 hours. Pickup is attempted twice.

  4. If reverse pickup isn't available in your pincode, or both attempts fail, you can ship it to our warehouse yourself. (6/33 Prabhati Enclave Chitrakoot Marg Vaishali Nagar Jaipur 302021)

  5. Once we receive and check the item, your exchange or store credit is processed.

  6. Exchanges are delivered within 7–10 working days from the day we receive your return.

A few things to know

  • Store credit is valid for 6 months and can be used only on younggrandpa.co. It can't be transferred or converted to cash.

  • Original shipping charges are not refunded.

  • Sale items can't be returned or exchanged — unless they arrive damaged or defective, in which case they're covered like anything else. Items bought using a discount code are not sale items and can be returned as normal.

  • If the size you want isn't in stock, we'll exchange it for another product or issue store credit instead — your choice.

  • COD orders can be cancelled any time before dispatch.

  • If a returned item doesn't pass our quality check, we'll get in touch and send it back to you.

Notes for you — not for the website

Four decisions still open:

  1. The 30-day defect window. Your old policy offered 30 days for colour bleeding, print cracks and finishing flaws. You said 7 days is the policy, so I've left it out. Worth a conscious decision — those defects genuinely don't show up in 7 days, and dropping it may create more disputes than it prevents.

  2. "Unworn and unwashed" vs. real defects. Colour bleeding and print cracking only appear after a wash. As written, a customer whose garment bleeds in the first wash is disqualified by this clause. This is live right now with Tanmay (#YG4087) — the email we drafted asks him whether the issue appeared after a wash. Suggest adding: "If a defect only becomes visible after washing — colour bleeding or print cracking, for example — send us photos and we'll assess it, even if the item has been washed."

  3. Prepaid cancellations. Your old policy allowed cancellation only on COD orders, with prepaid orders final. That rewards COD — the payment method causing 98% of your RTO losses. Consider allowing prepaid cancellation before dispatch too, as a genuine prepaid incentive.

  4. Warehouse address and failed-QC shipping cost — both marked in yellow above.

One legal note: I'm not a lawyer. The store-credit-only refund rule and the sale-items exclusion are the two clauses most worth having one review, since Indian consumer protection rules limit how far a seller can restrict remedies for genuinely defective goods.
